ABOUT LUCE

Luce is the Italian word for light, in addition to the meaning of lighting, it also represent a kind of communication and interaction. We believe that lighting design plays an indispensable part in communicating the overall design concept. Different lighting in the same space evoke different mood and atmosphere, bringing people different sensations, and this is the important focus of lighting design. As the famous architect l.M.Pei once said, let the light do the design. That is, to restore the essence of design in the most natural way in nature.

LUCE light DESIGN upholds the concept of reflecting the most authentic aspect of lighting design, attach great importance to the different atmosphere created by the color temperature and the angle of lighting, hoping to bring the most authentic feeling to customers. We believe that lighting accounts for half of the overall design. Our business scope covers architectural, interior and landscape lighting design.

Enable the natural emergence of aesthetics through consciousness.

Our concept is to create a comfortable lighting atmosphere, it is not about choosing the lamps and lanterns or the color temperature, since the focus is always on design. Good lighting design should fulfill two requirements, one is allowing you to see, and the other is to make you feel comfortable. The space and its atmosphere is reflected through lighting, that is why convenience stores are designed with bright and full lighting, and the atmosphere in Starbucks allows you to relax your mood and slow down your pace.

I often joke that a lighting designer is like a psychic, because you have to predict the future.

I've had clients asking me why a lighting design would fail? I replied, because lighting is not taken into consideration at the very beginning of the overall design. "Lighting design should always come first", but people always think about it only when they are halfway through the design, so they end up adding a plank here and digging a hole there just to add an extra lamp or to capture the missing light. These little details make a difference, it can make or break the lighting design.

If you ask, are we worried about whether the property will become a landmark or whether the space is considered a good design? We would say that from people's expressions, we can tell whether we have delivered an ideal design, that's probably the answer.
